In its 28th year as the premier manufacturing technology show in North America, the 2010 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is being held Sept. 13 to 18 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

 Siemens PLM Software’s Tecnomatix 10 digital manufacturing software suite features a new enhanced user interface to increase productivity and quality, while lowering costs during production by allowing system design and debug prior to setting up systems on the factory floor.

Among the “1,300 new customer-driven productivity enhancements” in the latest version of Solid Edge, several stand out.

Affordable commercial software links ERP to CAD, as well as PDM, even PLM. Doing so synchs the data in these systems. Better, it reduces production errors.
