Abtex Corp.'s (www.abtex.com) Tri-Ten planetary head deburring system includes a return-to-operator (RTO) configuration. The Tri-Ten series is designed to deburr both sides of a part in a single pass. Ideal for applications requiring a small footprint and portability. Parts are loaded at one end and a magnetic conveyor passes them through an offset planetary deburring head where three Abtex fiber abrasive brushes deburr the upward facing surface. The conveyor then carries the part to a mechanism that flips it on to a parallel magnetized conveyor that transports the part back through the planetary head and deposits it at an opening next to the entrance.

The Imao pull clamps from Fixtureworks are designed to provide high-accuracy workpiece locating, utilizing precision ground clamping pins that are used in conjunction with the fixture-mounted clamp mechanisms. The clamp devices apply downward pressure on the pins via a quarter turn of the clamp's handle that actuates a spiral cam (ball and groove) design; this in turn applies downward pressure on the workpiece and secures it in position. The accuracy of the pins help to establish additional locating precision beyond that provided by the fixture, while the ergonomic operation of the clamping base and easy loading of parts make these clamping systems ideal for high volume, repetitive jobs.
