Gauges for Internal Threads

What: Precision fixed-limit thread gauges

Important to note: Given that the company is a leader in the production of taps and thread mills, it makes sense that it would have more than a little know-how related to measuring threads.
Pertinent data: These thread gauges inspect the pitch diameter and functional thread for internally threaded components. As these are fixed-limit gauges, this means that they provide a Go/No-Go assessment of the internal thread. There is a recessed minor thread diameter on the No-Go side of the tool and a dirt flute on the Go size; this eliminates gauge/thread damage. The gauges are available in both inch and metric sizes and are manufactured in Germany to the relevant ANSI/ASME standards. The handle of each gauge is identified with the size, as well as an Emuge ID number for traceability. There is also a space for the available custom laser marking.
 

Shoulder Mills for Precision Stock Removal

Important to note: The Blaxx, which has a high-gloss black finish, doesn’t have that finish just because it looks good. It provides wear and corrosion resistance to the tool. And the inserts for the mill feature the Tiger-tec Silver high-performance coating, which means a second color-based performance enhancer.
Pertinent data: There are two shoulder mills in the offering, the F5041 and F5141, both of which feature precise indexable insert pockets that can handle Walter LNHU0904 and LNHU1306 inserts. These inserts offer four cutting edges that provide cutting with low horsepower and high metal-removal rates. Cutting depths of up to 12 mm are possible with the larger, LNHU1306 insert. Because there is a tangential orientation, not only is the insert area presented to the workpiece large, but that helps with the tool body stability. Given that the inserts are positioned 90° perpendicular to the workpiece and that there is highly controlled runout and concentricity of the tool body, there is high accuracy cutting.
 

Software for 3D Waterjet Cutting

What: Intelli-MAX 18 programming software for 3D waterjet cutting on OMAX equipment.

Important to note: Although waterjet cutting was long a 2D process, equipment advances have allowed 3D cutting to become more practical. This new software package helps make equipment programming easier.
Pertinent data: Intelli-MAX 18 supports up to six axes of coordinated motion for waterjet cutting: X, Y, Z, linear, two tilt, and one rotary. There are various parametric shapes supplied within the software so that programming is simplified when the shapes are repeated within a cutting sequence, as they can be selected, not reprogrammed. Users can insert special commands within a tool path that represent command strings (complex commands), which is beneficial when performing complex programming tasks, like wrapping an existing 2D path/pattern around a 3D part. The software is compatible with CAM systems including Mastercam, CATIA, SURFCAM, and Edgecam. It handles file imports in DXF, DWG, SVG, PDF, and Adobe Illustrator.
