ASC’s (www.ascglobal.com) Sliding Fabric Roof System will be available on the 2008 Jeep Liberty SUV. The bi-directional, fully-adjustable system can be opened and closed while the vehicle is in motion like a sunroof, but provides more than four times the open area of a standard sunroof. ASC spent more than two years developing the roof system, which it says can withstand severe environmental conditions, including frost, snow, heat, and sand.
Gentex Corp.’s (www.gentex.com) integrated rearview-mirror camera display system features an interior mirror containing a 2.4-in. LCD display that works in conjunction with a rear-mounted video camera to provide real-time images of the scene directly behind the vehicle. The video image appears automatically through the auto-dimming mirror’s reflective surface when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The ability to display the image through the mirror’s surface is made possible by Gentex’s “transflective” coatings and lighting technologies. It is available on the Mazda CX-9.

COAX ejector technology developed by PIAB Vacuum Products (www.piab.com) for material handling systems uses a decentralized vacuum system which can be easily integrated into the body of various devices with multistage vacuum cartridge capability. They are said to provide up to three times the vacuum flow compared to traditional systems with the same air consumption through the use of compressed air which is forced through a number of specially-designed nozzles.

Simply align the robot to the first point using the Jog & Tech routine and the fixturing files do the rest.
