Waterjet Machining Center Waterjet Machining Center
Omax (www.omax.com) 60120 JetMachining Center’s large format can accommodate multiple and large flat ceramic, composite, glass and stone, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and titanium parts from stock measuring up to 5 x 10-ft. with an accuracy of motion up to 0.003-in. The ability to calculate tool path velocity over 2,000 points per in. is said to enable precise, rapid machining.
Laser Cutting System Laser Cutting System
The new HVP laser cutting system from Mitsubishi Laser (www.mitsubishi-laser.com) features a pallet changer which acts as a second table that can be interchanged with the primary table for increased productivity. Upgrades have also been made to the HV Series machines, including MC Diamond Soft CAD/CAM software, faster processing speeds, improved tool rigidity, and a new servo control system.
Toolholding System
The SINO-R Universal Toolholder line from SCHUNK (www.schunk.com) is based on expansion technology. The user clamps the tool in place by tightening the actuation cap to the dead-stop position. Tools are clamped at a maximum torque capacity of 850 Nm. Said to provide high radial stiffness and good vibration dampening. Available in CAT 40 and HSK-A 63 types.
Toolholding System Benchtop Spin Welder
ToolTex’s (www.tooltex.com) benchtop Servo Spin Welder provides 80-in./lb. peak torque and 200-lb. clamping force for welding of cylindrical and spherical pieces up to 2-in. dia. with an orientation accuracy within 1°. A compact footprint of just 20 x 32 in. is said to allow for easy integration into an existing assembly line.
Benchtop Spin Welder
Leak Test Instruments
Cincinnati Test System’s (www.cincinnati-test.com) Sentinel I-24 leak test instrument offers multiple testing configurations for pressure differential, sequential test linking, pressure decay, vacuum decay, pressure gain and differential mass flow. Proprietary algorithms can be processed on a 32-bit system with multiple communication formats, including Ethernet, USB port or RS232. Automatic part setup for up to 99 part programs is available, along with auto calibration to ensure accurate results and easy testing.
Cutting Tools
Cutting Tools
Sandvik Coromant’s (www.coromant.sandvik.com/us) GC1125 cutting tools are said to provide improved performance during parting, grooving, turning, and profiling operations as a result of new coating and substrate technologies, which reduce wear and improve performance in machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, or super alloys.
