Wong on NAIAS Hits & Misses

By:

20. January 2014

For the 2014 North American International Auto Show we sent out photographer, former automotive designer, and co-founder of Car Design News, Patrick Wong, out to make his selections of what did—and didn’t—catch his fancy in Detroit.

He segmented the cars into three categories: “Expected Satisfaction,” “Pleasantly Delightful,” and “Disappointments.”

Clearly, people can come down in various ways on the cars in question.

Here is what he thinks:

Expected Satisfaction

Corvette Z06 Corvette Z06

Lexus RC-F Lexus RC F

Volvo XC Coupe Volvo Concept XC Coupe

Pleasantly Delightful

Toyota FT-1 Toyota FT-1

Nissan IDx Nissan IDx Freeflow

Disappointments

Mustang

Ford Mustang

ATS Coupe Cadillac ATS Coupe
