Windswept

Maserati is going to be revealing its first four-seat convertible at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the GranCabrio, which looks like this:

Its styling is by Pininfarina. The vehicle is described as having “four proper seats” “so that the rear passengers are not merely supporting actors, but co-stars of the journey.” (Unless you have Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston back there, chances no one is going to notice who is in the back seat, given the gorgeousness of the car.) This doesn’t have a solid folding top but canvas, said to be harkening back to the convertibles of the past, like the 1950 A6G Frua Spyder. It features a 4.7-liter, 433-hp V8.

Production will be occur at the Viale Ciro Menotti Maserati factory, which sounds as exotic as this car looks.
