Citroën’s “Charm Offensive”

We’re not exactly sure what’s going on in this photo of the forthcoming Citroën DS3, but we do know that for being a small hatch, it is quite a striking car, and said to be part of the French company’s on-going “charm offensive” in its DS line of vehicles. We must admit that we don’t understand many things that the French do, but find them to be intriguing.

Note how it seems to have a floating roof, with a contrasting color on top and seemingly a 360-degree greenhouse:

There is a clever use of LEDs in its front fascia, contributing to the shark-like look of what otherwise might be considered an econobox, if it wasn’t that the Europeans take small cars seriously:

Even its badge is haute couture compared with those found on U.S. domestic models:
