The Chevrolet Colorado, the midsize pickup truck based on a GM do Brazil-developed architecture and introduced last month in Thailand, the leading market for midsize trucks, will be manufactured at the GM Wentzville Assembly plant in Missouri.
The plant is where the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full-size vans are produced.
To accommodate the new truck, GM has announced that it is investing some $380-million in the plant for tooling and equipment upgrades.
Specific product launch timing for the U.S. has yet to be revealed. (Chances are there will be a Take 4 in the not-too-distant future.)
