It’s a simple idea. A button on the steering wheel activates or deactivates a locking clamp on the steering column. When open, it allows the driver to simultaneously adjust the reach and rake of the wheel. Pressing the button again locks the clamp and holds the steering wheel in place. According to a Delphi spokeswoman, the concept drew lots of OEM attention at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and could make its way into production by 2007.
