Siemens PLM Software’s Tecnomatix 10 digital manufacturing software suite features a new enhanced user interface to increase productivity and quality, while lowering costs during production by allowing system design and debug prior to setting up systems on the factory floor. The software provides an easy-to-use format to help engineers make smarter decisions more quickly, resulting in less waste and faster product launches.
 
Here are some of the enhancements:
- Integration with Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM software provides a more intuitive user interface, 3D animated work instructions, and a direct connection to machine controllers to eliminate problems before they are discovered on the shop floor.
 
- The software synchronizes product and process development stages using enhanced planning, simulation, and collaboration tools to clarify complex assembly instructions before the start of production. Tools also allow for the reuse of existing manufacturing data to save time.
 
- Using comprehensive simulation, validation and analysis capabilities, and new 3D visualization, potential errors can be identified early. The same tools can identify the impact that potential changes will have on a system – decreasing production time and eliminating non-value-added activity on the factory floor. 
 
- Interaction between the virtual production model and the physical production equipment allows for debugging and operations testing. This lets manufacturers make sure that the system they designed can be installed and implemented correctly.
