The CAMWorksXpress 2.5D software package from Geometric accelerates computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming time by providing automation tools like feature-based machining.  CNC code can be generated with a few clicks. The package has the capability to increase machining productivity with optimized toolpaths. Because it runs with SolidWorks CAD software, it has the ability to reduce rework by recognizing and recalculating toolpaths based on design changes. CAMWorksXpress – which offers 32-and 64-bit versions – can import design models from most common file formats, and includes a library of post-processors for CNC controllers.
